Rising star, Devouah Juwan Farmer made his entrance into the world on May 26, 1994. He was a bright and energetic child growing up. Playing multiple sports and becoming a standout athlete kept him busy during his teen years. After graduating in 2012, he decided to tap into his musical genes. Although he wasn't nationally known, Farmer’s father was a locally successful rapper and producer in his prime.
Farmer and a few friends decided to form the group “A.E.” which stood for Alpha & Elite. This group allowed him to develop his talent and he picked out the moniker, Lil Ya; a childhood name given to him by his cousin. The group released several mixtapes and a few singles but decided to spit up in 2014 due to creative differences. Without his crew to bounce ideas off of, Ya decided to put his music career on pause and go in a different direction. He joined the Military and married his childhood girlfriend.
After sometime, he picked up the mic again and started penning new music. With a newfound love for music and life, he dropped his childhood rap name (Lil Ya) and started going by YayoMagic. Between work and honing his talents, he put together his first solo mixtape entitled “Cold Summer/Hot Winters” in 2015. Garnering more attention now that his music had matured, he followed with Dark Knights in 2017. In the winter of 2018, Yayo joined forces with his childhood friend, Mhady Jay, and released a joint mixtape entitled “Jordan and Pippen.” His most recent project was released in January 2019 with the breakout singles, “I Want It All” and “Alone.” He is currently the CEO of MMR3000 record label. He is working on new music and developing artist to take his empire and label to the next level.
